Dow Futures Ease After Positive Session, FedEx Reports By Investing.com

Investing.com – US stock futures traded lower during Thursday’s evening deals after major benchmark averages finished the regular session higher, with falling yields boosting risk sentiment.

By 6:35 pm ET (10:35 pm GMT) and fell 0.3% apiece while were down 0.4%.

In extended deals, FedEx Corporation (NYSE 🙂 lifted 2.1% after the company Q4 EPS of $ 6.88, in line with expectations, while revenue was at $ 24.4 billion versus $ 24.49 billion expected. FedEx also issued upbeat guidance for its full fiscal year, projecting a rise in adjusted earnings.

Smith & Wesson Brands Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 lost 3% after Q4 results, with EPS coming in at $ 0.74 versus $ 0.69 expected while revenues declined 43.9% year-over-year to $ 181.3 million, but beating estimates of $ 179.85 million.

Ahead in the session, investors will be paying close attention to fresh economic data, with and the final University of Michigan print set for release at 10 am ET.

During Thursday’s regular session, the gained 194.23 points or 0.6% to 30,677.4, the added 1% to 3,795.7 and the rose 1.6% to 11,232.2.

Technology players outperformed, with Block Inc (NYSE 🙂 popping 10.9%, Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 up 3.2%, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ 🙂 adding 2.3% and Apple Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 up 2.2%.

On the bond markets, rates eased to 3.089%.
