Recapping USC’s mega-recruiting weekend, latest 2023 commitments

The Composite Two-Star Recruits are exhausted after covering the biggest recruiting weekend in USC. But they have returned to talk about all the activity from this past weekend and the ripple effects moving forward.

The guys also talk about the recent commitments of three-star Santa Clara (Calif.) Offensive lineman Amos Talalele and three-star Washington athlete Kade Eldridgewho both committed this week.

While rated as a defensive lineman, Talalele lists himself as an offensive lineman for the Trojans in his updated social media bio; the NorCal native spent most of his official visit with USC’s offensive line visitors, which included the No. 1 offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa, four-star OT Lucas Simmons, three-star NorCal interior offensive lineman Alani Noa and four-star interior offensive lineman Micah Banuelos.

Talalele played both ways at Santa Clara High School as an offensive tackle and defensive tackle. Above you can watch Talalele’s junior highlights as a two-way lineman.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pound Talalele is the No. 516 overall prospect and the No. 60 defensive lineman in the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 66 defensive line prospect in the 247Sports rankings. Talalele holds offers from Oregon State, Washington, Arizona, California and Fresno State. He picked up a USC Crystal Ball projection on Sunday evening.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Eldridge is rated the No. 533 overall prospect and the No. 38 athlete prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 36 athlete prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He chose USC over offers from Washington, Oregon, Michigan and Washington State.

Eldridge, who played both tight end and defensive end, recorded 794 total yards and 11 TDs in 10 games. He also recorded 15 TFL, 62.5 total tackles, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles on defense.
